Narrative
BATAVIA, OH – A 32-year-old man died Tuesday after a 2-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler along OH-32 in central Clermont County.
The incident happened around 7:55 a.m. on the eastbound side of OH-32 near Bauer Road in the city of Batavia.
The investigation indicates that an eastbound 2016 Freightliner semi-truck collided with the rear of a 2013 Chevy Cruze at the Bauer Road stoplight.
The force of the collision pushed the Chevy off of the roadway, throwing the driver, identified as Travis Light, from his vehicle.
Light died after transport to a local hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.
The 36-year-old driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
